If you really want to dive deep into the art of mermaid swimming, this course is the perfect choice for you. Beyond the basic training, you can acquire unique skills that make mermaid swimming a unique form of self-expression, setting it apart from other branches of diving. You will learn new rescue techniques that make mermaid swimming even safer. You will also gain insight into why we see, hear, and feel differently underwater, and you will learn about the physiology of freediving.
(The PADI Mermaid Swimming course includes the PADI Beginner Mermaid Swimming course, so you can start with it without needing a separate beginner course.)

The course consists of three segments: theory, online meeting, and four protected water dives with mermaid tail:
•Online e-learning: Learn independently with PADI Mermaid eLearning. (Since the eLearning is in English, additional online lessons can be arranged if needed.) Learn about the physical properties of water, how they affect you as a mermaid, mermaid swimming techniques, and safety knowledge. Chapters end with review questions to test your knowledge. Completion is required to pass the theory section.
•Online meeting: A ~2-hour online meeting to discuss the materials and questions. Then pool practice begins. Online theory sessions are held on Wednesdays from 18:00 to 20:00, allowing us to review the key topics together before the weekend's practical training. We recommend going through the materials beforehand so you can come prepared to discuss the most important points. If you happen to miss a live session, don't worry—the recordings will be available for you to watch anytime. Please make sure to complete the online exam at the end of the chapters before the practical training begins. In rare cases, session times may change; if this happens, we will notify you well in advance.
•Confined water session and exam: Start with dry warm-up and stretching. Assemble equipment, learn how to properly enter the water with a mermaid tail. Total 4x45 minutes in the pool. Learn safe weighting, mermaid swimming techniques at the surface, basic self-rescue techniques, correct breathing and recovery after breath-holding. Learn relaxation techniques for breath-holding without swimming, then combine with mermaid swimming. Learn basic equalization, various mermaid swimming techniques from basic to artistic, safety techniques, and proper exit from the water. Underwater videos are recorded and edited with background music, sent to you a few days after the course.
