Introduction

From early summer through late autumn, we host monthly mermaid trips in the magical surroundings of the Fényes Lakes in Tata. These adventures are designed for Advanced Mermaid certified divers who crave more than just an average swim. Our expeditions focus on fine-tuning open-water techniques and the joy of exploring one of Hungary’s most stunning underwater worlds as a community.

Location

Located in the heart of the Tata Nature Trail, these lakes are world-renowned for their unique karst springs and crystal-clear water, which remains a pleasant temperature year-round. This ecosystem offers a sight unlike any other: a world of underwater "forests," rising gas bubbles, and mystical water lilies. This hidden gem of Hungary is our home turf and holds a very special place in our hearts. Get ready for an experience where reality and legend meet beneath the surface!

What You’ll Practice:

-Refining open-water mermaid swimming techniques.

-Advancing your equalization skills.

-Hair management (underwater and at the surface).

-Team-based tasks and coordination.

-Underwater navigation with a mask.

Prerequisites

•Fully completed and signed liability waivers.

•Minimum age of 12 (minors must have a parent/guardian remain on-site).)

•Good physical health.

•Advanced Mermaid Certification (PADI, SSI, or other recognized organizations).

What’s Included

•Open water training and guided underwater exploration.

•Equipment Rental: Mermaid tail, monofin, mask, and snorkel (2,000 HUF/day).

Itinerary

MThe training consists of two main parts: a thorough lakeside briefing and two magical open-water dives.

•Briefing & Warm-up:Before entering the water, we begin with a group stretching session to get in the zone. We then discuss the technical focus points, exercises, and essential safety protocols.

•Freshwater Exploration:During our dives, we map out the secrets of the crystal-clear karst springs. We’ll glide through the intricate roots of mystical water lilies and explore hidden paths in the underwater forest, accompanied by friendly carp and curious grass carp.

•Pro Tip: If you tend to get cold easily, feel free to bring your own neoprene wetsuit

•Monofins, tails, and tops are available for rent at 3,000 HUF/day. Please note: We do not provide weights or wetsuits for rent. We highly recommend investing in your own gear. Recommended Brands:
